About Neskowin~
Neskowin is a small beachside resort village located at the southern
edge of Tillamook County. It’s situated between Lincoln
and Pacific Cities and nestles beside the Siuslaw National Forest. There
are six miles of unspoiled beach encompassing a panorama of the prominent
basalt seastack known as Proposal Rock. The area has wonderful
hiking trails, two nine-hole golf courses and stunning natural beauty.
Numerous varieties of fish inhabit the ocean and surrounding creeks
and rivers. The shallow meandering creeks and wide sandy beach
make Neskowin a perfect place for families to enjoy the central Oregon
coast.
Neskowin also offers easy access to the Cascade Head Trail which takes
you through wonderful stands of spruce and views of the ocean. Nearby,
the Sitka Center explores the relationship between art and ecology. As
part of the Neskowin Coast Foundation, Sitka educates both locals and
tourists about Cascade Head’s coastal environment.
Nestucca Bay is a just a short drive north and is an excellent area
for non-motorized water sports, such as canoeing and kayaking.
